Influence of Fluid Intelligence on Accuracy of Metacognitive Monitoring in Preschool Children Fades with the Calibration Feedback [PDF]

open access: yesStudia Psychologica, 2018
Higher fluid intelligence leads to better accuracy in metacognitive monitoring, but in school age this influence is moderated by the child’s development and education.

The accuracy and annual rank-order stability of elementary school children's self-monitoring judgments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2022
The present study investigated age-related development in children's metacognitive self-monitoring skills; eight-year-olds (N = 140) and ten-year-olds (N = 164) were compared. Children learned paired associates and completed a recognition test. Two types

Shoreline Detection Accuracy from Video Monitoring Systems

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2022
Video monitoring has become an indispensable tool to understand beach processes. However, the measurement accuracy derived from the images has been taken for granted despite its dependence on the calibration process and camera movements.

A Smart Sensing and Routing Mechanism for Wireless Sensor Networks

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) have long been used for many applications. The efficiency of a WSN is subject to its monitoring accuracy and limited energy capacity. Thus, accurate detection and limited energy are two crucial problems for WSNs.

Virtual Sensor for Accuracy Monitoring in CNC Machines

open access: yesJournal of Manufacturing and Materials Processing, 2022
Vibrations are limiting the productivity and the process quality of cutting machine tools. For the monitoring of these vibrations, often external sensors, such as acceleration sensors, are used.

Monitoring Flow Aggregates with Controllable Accuracy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper, we show the feasibility of real-time flow monitoring with controllable accuracy in today's IP networks. Our approach is based on Netflow and A-GAP. A-GAP is a protocol for continuous monitoring of network state variables, which are computed from device metrics using aggregation functions, such as SUM, AVERAGE and MAX.
