Abstract This study evaluates the load‐bearing performance of oxide ceramic matrix composites (Ox‐CMCs) reinforced with continuous fibers, which contain fiber interruptions caused by the manufacturing process. Two different lap joint designs are evaluated: stepped and overlaying lap joints.
