Crystalline Dimethacrylate Monomers
Journal of Dental Research, 1970Certain dimethacrylate monomers can be prepared and purified by recrystallization. On mixing, the crystals liquefy by forming a ternary eutectic. The colorless oily liquid is suitable for use in composite formulations.

Copolymerization of fluorinated monomers with nonfluorinated monomers. Reactivity and mechanisms
Macromolecular Symposia, 1994AbstractThe copolymerization of two monomers usually leads to random copolymers except when one of both bears an electron‐acceptor group and the other one has an electron‐donor group. Many copolymers are commercially available, mainly in the series of hydrogenated monomers (S.M.A., GANTREZ, MALIALIM resins).

Irreversible phase transitions in a dimer - monomer - monomer reaction model
Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and General, 1996A multiple-reaction irreversible surface reaction model involving one dimer and two different monomers (A and C) is proposed and studied by means of Monte Carlo simulations. This dimer - monomer - monomer (DMM) model is suitable to investigate, on the one hand, the influence caused by dimer traces on the behaviour of the monomer - monomer (MM) model ...

Monomers, Polymers, and Plastics
2011Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the various aspects of monomers, polymers, and plastics. Monomers are the basic molecular form in which polymers and plastics are produced. Polymers consist of repeating molecular units, which usually are joined by covalent bonds.
