Isoprene and monoterpene emissions from a mixed temperate forest
We measured the isoprene and monoterpene fluxes continuously above a mixed forest site at Vielsalm in the eastern part of Belgium, using the disjunct eddy covariance technique with proton transfer reaction-mass spectrometry.

Hamiltonella defensa infection increases honeydew production in certain aphid genotypes, potentially modifying aphid feeding behaviour. Parasitoid wasps, Aphidius ervi, are more attracted to honeydew from H. defensa‐infected aphids; though larger honeydew amounts may slightly deter searching.

Seasonal variations in monoterpene emissions from Eucalyptus species
To understand the long-term and short-term variations in monoterpene emissions from Australian native trees and the factors which influence these variations, the seasonal variations in monoterpene emissions for 15 Eucalyptus species as well as the ...

Aedes aegypti females were significantly repelled by both volatile DEET and citronella oil in comparison to control (ethanol‐exposed) mosquitoes. Global gene expression changes were largest in the mosquito mouthparts, with notable downregulation of the three subunits comprising the mosquito CO2 receptor (Gr1, 2 and 3).

This review examines salt glands in exo‐recretohalophytes, in which epidermal stem cells differentiate into unicellular, bicellular, or multicellular salt glands. Salt ions are transported to the leaves via the transpiration stream and enter salt glands through symplastic and apoplastic pathways. Finally, salt glands actively secrete salt ions from the

Genomic variation drives plant flavor diversification
This review explains how genomic variation shapes plant flavor by altering the biosynthetic and regulatory pathways of key attributes like sweetness, acidity, bitterness, piquancy, astringency, and aroma. It also discusses how multi‐omics, AI‐assisted breeding, and gene editing can translate this knowledge into plants with improved flavor, nutrition ...
