Monotone iterative technique for partial differential equations of first order

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1984
The authors are concerned with a monotone iterative technique for first- order partial differential equations of the form \(u_ t+\sum^{n}_{i=1}f_ i(t,x)u_{x_ i}=g(t,x,u),\) for \(0\leq t\leq T\) and \(a\leq x=(x_ 1,...,x_ n)\leq b\) \((a,b\in {\mathbb{R}}^ n)\). To this purpose they prove existence, uniqueness and comparison results.

Computation of Positive Solutions for Nonlinear Impulsive Integral Boundary Value Problems with p-Laplacian on Infinite Intervals

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
This paper deals with the existence and iteration of positive solutions for nonlinear second-order impulsive integral boundary value problems with p-Laplacian on infinite intervals. Our approach is based on the monotone iterative technique.

Existence of extremal solutions of a three-point boundary value problem for a general second order p-Laplacian integro-differential equation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2010
In this paper, we prove the existence of extremal positive, concave and pseudo-symmetric solutions for a general three-point second order p-Laplacian integro-differential boundary value problem by using an abstract monotone iterative technique.

Monotone-iterative technique of Lakshmikantham for the initial value problem for a differential equation with a step function

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2002
The initial value problem for a special kind of differential equations with a step function is studied. The monotone-iterative technique of Lakshmikantham for approximate finding of the solutions of the given problem is well grounded.

Existence Results and the Monotone Iterative Technique for Nonlinear Fractional Differential Systems with Coupled Four-Point Boundary Value Problems

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
By establishing a comparison result and using the monotone iterative technique combined with the method of upper and lower solutions, we investigate the existence of solutions for nonlinear fractional differential systems with coupled four-point boundary

Existence of extremal solutions for a class of fractional integro-differential equations

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы
In the study the existence of solutions of a class of fractional integro-differential equations with boundary conditions was considered. The main tool, we employ, is the conventional monotone iterative technique, which is highly effective method to ...

On Maximal and Minimal Solutions for Set-Valued Differential Equations with Feedback Control

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
In this paper, we present the existence of extremal solutions of set-valued differential equations with feedback control on semilinear Hausdorff space under Hukuhara derivative which is developed under the form DHX(t)=F(t, X(t),H(t,X(t))), X(0)=X0,  for ...

Monotone iterative technique for a coupled system of first order differential equations

open access: yesCommunications Faculty Of Science University of Ankara Series A1Mathematics and Statistics, 2013
By the help of upper and lower solutions, the monoton iterative technique is applied to a coupled system of first order ordinary differential equations with initial conditions depending on a function of end points. Some existence and uniqueness results are obtained. An example for a predator-prey system is given.
