Thompson′s Metric and Mixed Monotone Operators

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1993
We apply Thompson′s metric to prove several fixed point theorems of mixed monotone operators by appealing to various generalizations of Banach′s fixed point ...

Generalized sums of monotone operators

Comptes Rendus de l'Académie des Sciences - Series I - Mathematics, 1999
The purpose of this note is to extend the notion of variational sum of maximal monotone operators in Hilbert spaces [in the \textit{H. Attouch}, \textit{J.-B. Baillon} and \textit{M. Théra} sense, see J. Convex Anal. 1, No. 1, 1-29 (1994; Zbl 0824.47044)] to the case of reflexive Banach spaces.

About the Maximal Monotonicity of the Generalized Sum of Two Maximal Monotone Operators

Set-Valued and Variational Analysis, 2011
In this paper, the authors present some regularity conditions to ensure the maximal mo\-no\-to\-ni\-ci\-ty of the generalized sum of two strongly-representable monotone operators of closedness and interior point type. The obtained theorems extend some recent results.

Variational Inequalities with Generalized Monotone Operators

Mathematics of Operations Research, 1994
We investigate the variational inequality with pseudomonotone operators (in the sense of Karamardian) in Banach spaces. New existence results which extend many known results in infinite-dimensional spaces are derived under rather weak assumptions. New uniqueness results which also seem to be new even in finite-dimensional spaces are also derived.

On a generalization of the method of monotone operators

Differential Equations, 2013
The author proves a theorem concerning the solvability and uniform estimate of the solution in the norm of the space for a operator equation in a reflexive Banach space. The case considered is of a nonlinear nonmonotone hemicontinuous operator and the method is related (with some differences) to the method of semimonotone operators.

On construction of generalized non monotone fuzzy operators

Proceedings of IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Engineering Systems, 2002
In this paper the concept and two classes of nonmonotone fuzzy operators are introduced. The nonmonotone so called W-operators are constructed from any associated T-norm and T-conorm. Using the concept of elementary entropy function minimum and maximum fuzziness generalized operators are introduced.

On generalized cyclically monotone operators and proper quasimonotonictty

Optimization, 2000
In this paper we consider an abstract subdifferential that fulfills a prioria weak type of a mean value property. We survey and extend some recent results connecting the gener-alized convexity of nonsmooth functions with the generalized cyclic monotonidty of their subdifferentials. It is shown that, for a large class of subdifferentials, a Isc function
