Is Inflation Regressive or Progressive? Long Run & Short Run Evidence from Pakistan
The present paper investigates an answer to a key question “is inflation regressive or progressive?” by utilizing time series data from 1971 up to 2005 with reference to Pakistan.

Projection Methods for Monotone Variational Inequalities
The authors give some new iterative methods for solving monotone variational inequalities of the form \[ \langle Tu,v- u\rangle\geq 0,\;\forall v\in K, \] where \(K\) is a closed convex set in a Hilbert space \(H\), \(T: K\to H\) is a nonlinear operator.

Some inequalities for (p,q) $(p,q)$-mixed volume
Lutwak, Yang, and Zhang introduced the concept of (p,q) $(p,q)$-mixed volume whose special cases contain the Lp $L_{p}$-mixed volume and the Lp $L_{p}$-dual mixed volume.

On a Conjecture of Alzer, Berg, and Koumandos
In this paper, we find a solution of an open problem posed by Alzer, Berg, and Koumandos: determine ( α , m ) ∈ R + × N such that the function x α | ψ ( m ) ( x ) | is completely monotonic on ( 0 , ∞ ) , where ψ (

The non‐monotonic relationship between seigniorage and inequality [PDF]
Abstract. We present an analysis of how political factors may come into play in the equilibrium determination of inflation. We employ a standard overlapping generations model with heterogenous young‐age endowments, and a government that funds an exogenous spending via a combination of non‐distortionary income taxes and the inflation tax.

Foreign labor, peer‐networking and agricultural efficiency in the Italian dairy sector
Abstract While the presence of immigrants in the agricultural sector is widely acknowledged, the empirical evidence on its economic consequences is lacking, especially from a microeconomic perspective. Using the Farm Accountancy Data Network panel data for Italian dairy farms in the period 2008–2018, the present study investigates the relationship ...

Wage inequality, labor income taxes, and the notion of social status
The authors investigate the desirability of income taxes when the objective is to mitigate wasteful conspicuous consumption generated by people's status-seeking behavior.
