Food Tastes in the United States: Convergence or Divergence?
ABSTRACT This study investigates how food consumption tastes have changed in recent decades across the United States. Using NielsenIQ data for over 77 million transactions, there is evidence of divergence in food tastes across regions from 2007 to 2016 and across households of different income, education, and race/ethnicity groups.

Some integral inequalities for operator monotonic functions on Hilbert spaces
Let f be an operator monotonic function on I and A, B∈I (H), the class of all selfadjoint operators with spectra in I. Assume that p : [0.1], →ℝ is non-decreasing on [0, 1].

INEQUALITIES AND MONOTONICITY FOR THE RATIO OF GAMMA FUNCTIONS
Let \(\Gamma\) be the Euler gamma function. The authors prove that \[ f_y(x)= [\Gamma(x+ y+ 1)/\Gamma(y+ 1)]^{1/x}/(x+ y+ 1) \] is a decreasing function of \(x\geq 1\), for any fixed \(y\geq 0\).

A physics‐guided machine learning framework estimates Young's modulus in multilayered multimaterial hyperelastic cylinders using contact mechanics. A semiempirical stiffness law is embedded into a custom neural network, ensuring physically consistent predictions. Validation against experimental and numerical data on C.

Abstract We propose a hierarchical energy management scheme for aggregating Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) for grid flexibility services. To prevent a direct participation of numerous prosumers in the wholesale electricity market, aggregators, as self‐interest agents in our scheme, incentivize prosumers to provide flexibility. We firstly model the

Characterization of the monotonicity by the inequality
Let $φ$ be a normal state on the algebra $B(H)$ of all bounded operators on a Hilbert space $H$, $f$ a strictly positive, continuous function on $(0, \infty)$, and let $g$ be a function on $(0, \infty)$ defined by $g(t) = \frac{t}{f(t)}$. We will give characterizations of matrix and operator monotonicity by the following generalized Powers-St\ormer ...

Inequalities and monotonicity properties for the gamma function
After an extensive survey of previous results by the authors and others, they offer the inequalities \[ \Gamma[1+x+(1/x)]/2\leq \Gamma(1+x)\Gamma[1+(1/x)]0; \) equality on the left at \(x=1\)), counter examples to the left inequality for more terms and factors, and proof of a weakened form of that generalization.

Abstract Crop insurance is undoubtedly an extremely valuable element in protecting agricultural businesses, but in many cases standard indemnity‐based products have had very low uptake due to high transaction costs elevating premiums to unaffordable levels.
