Isotonic regression is a useful tool to investigate the relationship between a quantitative covariate and a time-to-event outcome. The resulting non-parametric model is a monotonic step function of a covariate X and the steps can be viewed as change ...

The complex association between the antioxidant defense system and clinical status in early psychosis. [PDF]
Oxidative stress is a pathophysiological mechanism potentially involved in psychiatric disorders. The objective of this study was to assess the relationship between total antioxidant status (TAS) and the functional status of patients with a first episode

Monotone Regression: A Simple and Fast O(n) PAVA Implementation
Efficient coding and improvements in the execution order of the up-and-down-blocks algorithm for monotone or isotonic regression leads to a significant increase in speed as well as a short and simple O(n) implementation. Algorithms that use monotone regression as a subroutine, e.g., unimodal or bivariate monotone regression, also benefit from the ...

Bayesian spatial monotonic multiple regression [PDF]
We consider monotonic, multiple regression for a set of contiguous regions (lattice data). The regression functions permissibly vary between regions and exhibit geographical structure. We develop new Bayesian non-parametric methodology which allows for both continuous and discontinuous functional shapes and which are estimated using marked point ...

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

A non-linear partial least squares based on monotonic inner relation
A novel regression model, monotonic inner relation-based non-linear partial least squares (MIR-PLS), is proposed to address complex issues like limited observations, multicollinearity, and nonlinearity in Chinese Medicine (CM) dose-effect relationship ...

Adaptive Monotone Shrinkage for Regression
We develop an adaptive monotone shrinkage estimator for regression models with the following characteristics: i) dense coefficients with small but important effects; ii) a priori ordering that indicates the probable predictive importance of the features.

ABSTRACT Objective Digital technologies hold promise for transforming healthcare by enhancing personalized treatments and offer valuable opportunities to improve patient care. Here, we evaluated several novel, self‐administered, home‐based, digital endpoints for their association with corresponding conventional standard clinical measures (primary) in ...
