Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Evaluation of Digital Technologies for Home‐Based Assessment in People With Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Digital technologies hold promise for transforming healthcare by enhancing personalized treatments and offer valuable opportunities to improve patient care. Here, we evaluated several novel, self‐administered, home‐based, digital endpoints for their association with corresponding conventional standard clinical measures (primary) in ...

Fast Hankel Transforms Algorithm Based on Kernel Function Interpolation with Exponential Functions

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
The Pravin method for Hankel transforms is based on the decomposition of kernel function with exponential function. The defect of such method is the difficulty in its parameters determination and lack of adaptability to kernel function especially using ...

Sex‐Stratified Association of Regional Dopamine Transporter Binding With Disease Progression in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To clarify the clinical relevance of dopamine transporter single‐photon emission computed tomography (DAT‐SPECT) abnormalities in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), with a prespecified focus on sex‐stratified associations with disease progression and short‐term prognosis.

Goodness of Fit Tests for the Log-Logistic Distribution Based on Cumulative Entropy under Progressive Type II Censoring

open access: yesMathematics, 2019
In this paper, we propose two new methods to perform goodness-of-fit tests on the log-logistic distribution under progressive Type II censoring based on the cumulative residual Kullback-Leibler information and cumulative Kullback-Leibler information ...

Dynamic Weight Strategy of Physics-Informed Neural Networks for the 2D Navier–Stokes Equations

open access: yesEntropy, 2022
When PINNs solve the Navier–Stokes equations, the loss function has a gradient imbalance problem during training. It is one of the reasons why the efficiency of PINNs is limited.

Pseudo-open functions are monotonic decreasing for ordinal and cardinal invariants

open access: yesGeneral Topology and its Applications, 1978
AbstractA new property of pseudo-open functions is presented in this paper. Pseudo-open functions are monotonic decreasing with respect to ordinal and cardinal invariants defined by compact and sequential closures. A weak form of continuity, called k-continuous, is defined, characterized and used in the proof of the monotonicity properties of pseudo ...

Observer‐Based Adaptive Event‐Triggered Tracking Control for Fuzzy TS Systems With Premise Mismatch

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This paper presents an adaptive logistic event‐triggered observer‐based tracking controller for Takagi‐Sugeno fuzzy systems under constrained inputs and network delays. Leveraging a hybrid LMI and Secretary Bird Optimization approach, this strategy significantly minimizes communication overhead and computational burden while ensuring optimal reference ...
