Reallocation of an infinetely divisible good [PDF]

open access: yes
We consider the problem of reallocating the total initial endowments of an infinitely divisible commodity among agents with single-peaked preferences.

Visible Light Induced DLP‐Printed Oxygen‐Releasing TPMS Scaffolds Mitigate Early Hypoxia in Bone Defects

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Visible light‐induced digital light processing 3D printed Primitive‐triply periodic minimal surface hydrogels embed CaO2–Si core–shell nanoparticles to deliver short‐term oxygen during the avascular window. The scaffolds maintain cytocompatibility, elevate osteopontin in vitro, and enhance calvarial defect repair in vivo without toxicity.

A comment on "Intergenerational equity: sup, inf, lim sup, and lim inf" [PDF]

open access: yes
We reexamine the analysis of Chambers (Social Choice and Welfare, 2009), that produces a characterization of a family of social welfare functions in the context of intergenerational equity: namely, those that coincide with either the sup, inf, lim sup ...

Fatigue‐Resistant Mechanoresponsive Color‐Changing Hydrogels for Vision‐Based Tactile Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Mechanoresponsive color‐changing materials that can reversibly and resiliently change color in response to stress are highly desirable for diverse technologies in optics, sensors, and robots; however, such materials are rarely achieved. This work reports a fatigue‐resistant mechanoresponsive color‐changing hydrogel that exhibits reversible, resilient ...

Consistency and the sequential equal contributions rule for airport problems [PDF]

open access: yes
We consider the problem of sharing the cost of a public facility among agents who have different needs for it. We base two characterizations of the sequential equal contributions rule on smallest-cost consistency.

Computational Modeling of Reticular Materials: The Past, the Present, and the Future

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Reticular materials are advanced materials with applications in emerging technologies. A thorough understanding of material properties at operating conditions is critical to accelerate the deployment at an industrial scale. Herein, the status of computational modeling of reticular materials is reviewed, supplemented with topical examples highlighting ...

Fair allocation of indivisible goods among two agents [PDF]

open access: yes
One must allocate a finite set of indivisible goods among two agents without monetary compensation. We impose Pareto-efficiency, anonymity, a weak notion of no-envy, a welfare lower bound based on each agent’s ranking of the sets of goods, and a ...

A Framework for Approval-based Budgeting Methods

open access: yes, 2018
We define and study a general framework for approval-based budgeting methods and compare certain methods within this framework by their axiomatic and computational properties.
