Visible Light-Mediated Preparation of a Key Intermediate Employed in the Synthesis of Zolpidem and Several Analogs. [PDF]
A new visible light‐induced method is reported for the C3‐alkylation of imidazo[1,2‐a]pyrimidines and ‐pyridines with aryldiazoacetates. This protocol can be performed in open air and serves as a convenient entry to several known and new molecules. A formal synthesis of zolpidem is achieved by changing the alkylating agent to an appropriate hypervalent

A Clinicopathological Study of Marginal Gingival Leukoplakia. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Background Marginal gingival leukoplakias are relatively uncommon and rarely discussed in the scientific literature. Studies suggest they are distinct from other leukoplakias due to aggressive behavior and a strong association with proliferative verrucous leukoplakia.

On the Nature of Improper Hydrogen Bonding in RCH2F and RCHF2 Motifs. [PDF]
The nature of ‘improper’ hydrogen bonds is explored in FnC─H⋯X systems, such as RCF2H interaction with chloride and water. It is noted that increased fluorination decreases the positive charge density on H but increases it on C, thus these interactions are dominated by electrostatic attraction to C over H.

Influence of Soybean Cultivar Resistance on the Foraging Behavior of Encarsia sp. Against Bemisia tabaci MEAM1. [PDF]
The volatiles emitted by tested soybean cultivars did not significantly affect the attraction of Encarsia sp. parasitoid in Y‐shaped olfactometer. The cultivar Bônus may exert a more attractive effect and diversified foraging behavior compared to whitefly‐resistant M8808 cultivar.
