The MoO3WO3 and Li2OMoO3WO3 systems

Journal of the Less Common Metals, 1974
Abstract The oxidation at moderate temperatures of solid solutions of the dioxides (Mo,W)O2 permits a determination of the system MoO3WO3.

XPS studies of MoO3/Al2O3 and MoO3/SiO2 systems

Applied Surface Science, 1997
Abstract The detailed analysis of the experimental XPS envelopes of the model MoO3/Al2O3 and MoO3/SiO2 systems was performed using a curve fitting procedure. It appeared possible to fit the XPS spectrum of MoO3/Al2O3 system with a single Mo 3d5/2-Mo 3d3/2 doublet which indicates the presence of only one type of molybdenum(VI) oxo-species In contrast,

MoO3 − δ nanorods

Russian Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, 2008
Oxygen-deficient molybdenum trioxide nanorods of composition MoO2.987 (orthorhombic, a = 3.951(2) A, b = 13.856(1) A, c = 3.700(1) A) were synthesized by a hydrothermal process (150–180°C, 30–50 h). MoO3 − δ particles were 60–90 nm in diameter; their lengths were several micrometers.

Chemical durability of MoO3-P2O5 and K2O-MoO3-P2O5 glasses

Journal of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry, 2007
Thermal and chemical durability studies of the phosphate glasses belonging to the binary MoO3-P2O5 and the ternary K2O-MoO3-P2O5 systems are reported. The chemical resistant attack tests carried out on the free alkaline MoO3-P2O5 glasses show that the glass associated with the P/Mo ratio 2 has the high chemical durability.

Nitridation of MoO3/HZSM-5 and Fe-MoO3/HZSM-5

Topics in Catalysis, 2009
Thermal treatment and subsequent ammonolysis of MoO3/H-ZSM-5 is shown to be an effective means for the preparation of zeolite dispersed nitrided molybdenum species. However, it is unlikely that these species reflect the bulk structures formed by analogous treatment of bulk MoO3 precursor.

Surface structure and catalytic properties of MoO3/CeO2 and CuO/MoO3/CeO2

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2011
XRD, LRS, TPR and in situ NH(3) adsorption FT-IR were used to investigate the dispersion state of the copper oxide and molybdena species of MoO(3)/CeO(2) and CuO/MoO(3)/CeO(2) catalysts as well as their surface acidity. The results showed that the molybdena monolayer modification promoted the dispersion of CuO due to the formation of new tetrahedral ...

Spectroscopic studies on tetragonal ZrO2-supported MoO3 and NiO−MoO3 systems

Journal of Catalysis, 1998
XRD, laser Raman, and UV-visible DR spectroscopies are used to study tetragonal zirconia-supported MoO 3 and NiO−MoO 3 oxide systems. For the MoO 3 /t−ZrO 2 system, the results indicate that the distorted surface monomolybdate and polymolybdate species are the main species formed in the low and high MoO 3 loading samples, respectively.

Electrochemical lithium insertion in β-MoO3: novel Li x MoO3 bronzes

Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry, 2003
New lithium molybdenum bronzes have been synthesized by electrochemical lithium insertion. Through electrochemical spectroscopy techniques we have detected that lithium insertion proceeds at least in a two-step reduction process. The maximum amount of lithium inserted in β-MoO3 leads to a high specific capacity of the cell of 370 Ah kg–1. However, this

MoO3 overview: hexagonal plate-like MoO3 nanoparticles prepared by precipitation method

Journal of Materials Science: Materials in Electronics, 2018
MoO3 nanoparticles are synthesized by precipitation method. The optical, structure and morphology of MoO3 nanoparticles are investigated by UV–Visible spectroscopy (UV–Vis), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX), transmission election ...
