Populations of a common grass, Briza media, responded to long‐term grazing cessation with phenotypic plasticity in traits that enhanced competitive ability for light, but with heritable trait shifts towards increased tissue protection and reduced trait diversity.

Asymmetric competitions between seedling and clonal ramet promote the evolution of extraordinary long flowering time in monocarpic perennial plants

We explored how asymmetric competition influences the evolution of flowering interval in monocarpic perennials. Using a spatially explicit model, we found that stronger competitive asymmetry between seedlings and clonal ramets promoted the evolution of prolonged flowering intervals.

Cross‐entropy is a useful tool for quantifying the divergence between systems. In this paper, we develop an interval‐valued q‐rung orthopair fuzzy cross‐entropy measure. Subsequently, the satisfaction‐based cross‐entropy (SCE) is derived from the compromise rule, integrating decision‐makers’ risk preferences to enhance rationality.
