Straddle carrier routing optimization at container terminals utilizing telemetry‐based prediction

open access: yesInternational Transactions in Operational Research, EarlyView.
Abstract Efficient vehicle routing and scheduling for horizontal transport means on container terminals can reduce lead times and travel distances, resulting in fuel savings and productivity gains. We apply machine learning to emulate operational processes, bridging the gap between theoretical optimization models and real‐world practices at container ...

Polu-spregnuta analiza dinamičkog odziva plutajućeg tijela i sidrenih linija pritegnutih pučinskih platformi [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Matematički model nespregnutog dinamičkog odziva plutajućeg tijela i sidrenih linija pritegnutih pučinskih platformi (pritegnute plutajuće platforme, plutajuće pučinske vjetroturbine) unaprijeđen je uzimajući u obzir nelinearnu povratnu krutost kao ...

The Hydrodynamic Similarity between Different Power Levels and a Dynamic Analysis of Ocean Current Energy Converter–Platform Systems with a Novel Pulley–Traction Rope Design for Irregular Typhoon Waves and Currents

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
In the future, the power of a commercial ocean current energy convertor will be able to reach the MW class, and its corresponding mooring rope tension will be very good. However, the power of convertors currently being researched is still at the KW class,

Prognostic Impact of New‐Onset Atrial Fibrillation After Cardiac Arrest: Observations From a Federated Research Network

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Data on adverse events in patients developing atrial fibrillation (AF) after cardiac arrest (CA) are limited. Methods Retrospective analysis using the TriNetX network. Adults (≥ 18 years) with CA (ICD‐10‐CM I46) from 2014 to 2024 were divided into two cohorts: those with new‐onset AF (I48) within 2 days after CA and those without ...

Scrutinising Frontex: The European Parliament and Accountability through Discharge

open access: yesJCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract This article examines how the European Parliament (EP) has leveraged the budgetary discharge procedure to enhance the political accountability of the EU's Border and Coast Guard Agency, Frontex. Whilst the procedure is formally limited to budget implementation, the EP has used it as an accountability tool that goes far beyond financial ...

The influence of load history on synthetic rope response [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Although used for the station-keeping of offshore equipment for several decades, synthetic ropes have only recently been used for marine renewable energy (MRE) devices.

Annual Research Review: What processes are dysregulated among emotionally dysregulated youth? – a systematic review

open access: yesJournal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, Volume 66, Issue 4, Page 516-546, April 2025.
Proliferation of the term “emotion dysregulation” in child psychopathology parallels the growing interest in processes that influence negative emotional reactivity. While it commonly refers to a clinical phenotype where intense anger leads to behavioral dyscontrol, the term implies etiology because anything that is dysregulated requires an impaired ...

Oxygen consumption from air and water, ammonia and urea‐N excretion, and Na+ fluxes during progressive aquatic hypoxia in Amazonian armoured catfish Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps and Pterygoplichthys pardalis

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract The Amazonian loricariid fish Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps, from the Rio Negro, and Pterygoplichthys pardalis, from the Rio Solimões, are facultative air‐breathers that can use the stomach as an air‐breathing organ. Measurement of oxygen uptake under progressive aquatic hypoxia revealed a relatively high hypoxia resistance of both species.
