Dyadic expectations of cooperation and support in the transition to parenthood

open access: yesFamily Relations, Volume 75, Issue 3, Page 1999-2017, July 2026.
Abstract Objective The purpose was to examine dyadic (in)congruent expectations of first‐time expectant parents regarding future coparental cooperation, caregiving responsibilities, and partner support, and explore how gendered assumptions and structural factors (e.g., parental leave) shape these expectations.

A Drier Year Markedly Enhances Methane, but Not Carbon Dioxide, Emissions in a Mediterranean Reservoir

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology, Volume 32, Issue 7, July 2026.
We monitored greenhouse gas emissions from a Mediterranean reservoir over 2 years that differed markedly in water availability. Methane emissions were much higher during the drier year, largely because lower water levels and warmer bottom waters favored methane production and release, while carbon dioxide emissions were less affected.

Acting Up and Pushing Back: A Qualitative Study Exploring Women Workers' Resistance to Gender Inequalities in the UK Craft Beer Scene

open access: yesGender, Work &Organization, Volume 33, Issue 4, Page 1556-1568, July 2026.
ABSTRACT The production, sale, and consumption of alcohol remains highly gendered, and although the craft beer sector has positioned itself as prioritizing progressive values, recent studies indicate that women are still excluded from the craft beer sector.

A half century of monitoring reveals contrasting survival responses of Icelandic seabirds to climate and fisheries pressures

open access: yesIbis, Volume 168, Issue 3, Page 950-971, July 2026.
Seabirds serve as key indicators of marine environmental changes, with adult survival being a critical parameter for assessing population health. Iceland hosts some of the largest seabird populations in the North Atlantic, making it a valuable location for studying long‐term trends in seabird demographics.

Experimental investigation of nonlinear dynamic tension in mooring lines

Journal of Marine Science and Technology, 2012
Mooring lines are one of the most important parts of spar platforms. In this work, experimental investigation was carried out to obtain the dynamic tension and discover the nonlinear characters while a mooring line transfers from taut to taut–slack. Results show that, when system parameters change, the mooring line system may transform from one steady ...
