Computational fatigue assessment of mooring chains under tension loading [PDF]
Abstract This paper presents a computational fatigue assessment method of mooring chains under tensile loading, it is composed of a mechanical analysis followed by a fatigue analysis. The mechanical analysis is performed in two steps: residual stress prediction and service loading.

Objective Cerebral ischemic stroke causes neuronal oxygen/energy deprivation, disrupting mitochondrial function including reduced membrane potential and bioenergetics, exacerbating neuronal injury. Mitochondrial defects are, therefore, a central neuropathological node and potential therapeutic target.

Design Aspects of Positional Mooring System Based on LR FOIFL Rules [PDF]
Floating offshore units, such as FPSOs, are subject to dynamic excitations from the environment and require to be moored to maintain position at the fix location of operation.

Progress on the experimental set-up for the testing of a floating offshore wind turbine scaled model in a field site [PDF]
This document describes design and realization of a small-scale field experiment on a 1:30 model of spar floating support structure for offshore wind turbines. The aim of the experiment is to investigate the dynamic behaviour of the floating wind turbine

Understanding exam access arrangements in practice: Challenges and opportunities
Abstract Secondary students with specific learning difficulties (SpLD) often face challenges with academic tasks, particularly with highâstakes examinations. Exam access arrangements (EAA) are provided as reasonable adjustments to reduce disadvantage for students with SpLD.

Effects of shared lines with different materials on mooring response of the floating wind farm
ObjectivesThis paper investigates the impact of shared lines with different materials on the dynamic response of floating wind farms in order to design a rational shared mooring system. MethodsFirst, shared mooring and traditional (without shared cables)
