Hippocampal subfield differences in people with and without recreational ketamine use: Insights from multi‐modal neuroimaging

open access: yesAddiction, Volume 121, Issue 6, Page 1541-1556, June 2026.
Abstract Background and aims Recreational ketamine use has increased globally and is associated with psychiatric and cognitive concerns. The hippocampus in preclinical models shows damage and working‐memory disruption with repeated dosing. However, whether specific hippocampal subregions may differ in people with chronic ketamine use remains unclear ...

Magnetic Signature of Oceanic Transform Faults and Their Fracture Zones

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 9, 16 May 2026.
Abstract Oceanic transform faults (TFs) offset mid‐ocean ridges, juxtaposing different‐aged crust and causing fracture zones (FZ) crossing ocean basins. Mounting evidence challenges the consensus that TFs are conservative plate boundaries, instead supporting the existence of extensional tectonics and two phases of magmatism.

Selective Continuous‐Flow Syntheses of 1,2‐Diols From Alkenes by Utilizing a Dual Functionality of Titanium Silicalite‐1 Catalyst in the Presence of Hydrogen Peroxide Without Carboxylic Acids

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 9, 5 May 2026.
Various 1,2‐diols are synthesized from alkenes via a flow tandem reaction without using acids. This proceeds with high yield by utilizing the dual functionality of the titanium site in TS‐1 (peroxide formation and Lewis acidity). Selective syntheses of 1,2‐diols from alkenes have traditionally relied on carboxylic acids and various oxidants, which ...

Engineering Electrospun PCL/PEO Membranes With ECM‐Like Architecture and Tunable Hydrophilicity as Functional Wound Dressings

open access: yesJournal of Applied Polymer Science, Volume 143, Issue 17, May 5, 2026.
Schematic illustration of the production of PCL/PEO electrospun membranes and their morphological, physical, and biological characterization. ABSTRACT Skin injuries resulting from trauma, burns, or chronic conditions such as diabetes often require advanced medical interventions, as conventional dressings provide only passive protection with limited ...

Boric Acid Post‐Modified [Al]ZSM‐5 Zeolites: Properties, Acidity, and Ethanol/Ethene Conversion

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 32, Issue 17, 5 May 2026.
The modification of MFI zeolites with boric acid leads to the formation of framework boron, unstable surface species, and unbound deposits. Relevant BAS for catalysis and access to pores are strongly reduced. The boric acid is removed upon converting C1 or C2 alcohols and ethene. ABSTRACT The effect of boric acid post‐modification on [Al]ZSM‐5 zeolites

CO2 Hydrogenation to Light Olefins and Single Hydrocarbons: Active Sites and Synergy in Oxide–Zeolite Catalysts

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 3, May 2026.
This work systematically reviews oxide–zeolite catalysts, summarizing the types of oxide active sites, regulation strategies for zeolites in selective hydrocarbon synthesis, and highlighting the crucial role of oxide–zeolite interactions. ABSTRACT Catalytic CO2 hydrogenation to light olefins and single hydrocarbons represents a crucial pathway for ...
