ABSTRACT Diesel vehicle‐derived NOx is a major pollutant, and NH3‐SCR with Cu‐SSZ‐13 is the mainstream abatement technology. In this study, vitamin C (Vc) was used as a crystal growth regulator to successfully synthesize Cu‐SSZ‐13‐Vc0.3 via the hydrothermal method. Experimental results demonstrate that the introduction of Vc significantly optimizes the

Polythiophenes and oligothiophenes in zeolite hosts [PDF]
The polymerization of different thiophenes in the channels of molecular sieve zeolite hosts is described. Thiophene, 3-methyIthiophene, 2,2'-bithiophene, and terthiophene were introduced into dehydrated proton-, Cu(II)- or Fe(III)-containing zeolites ...

n-Butane Isomerization over Acidic Mordenite [PDF]
Conversion of n-butane was studied between 523 K and 623 K over acidic mordenites with SiO2/Al2O3 ratios between 10 and 20. The main products were iso-butane, propane, and pentane. The selectivity to olefins, methane, ethane, C6 paraffins, and aromatics was lower than 4 mol% under all reaction conditions.

Abstract Acid catalyzed conversion of durene by isomerization, disproportionation, and transalkylation is of interest to the development of a methanol‐to‐jet process to reduce the amount of durene in the kerosene. It was of interest to determine whether durene conversion could be performed at a temperature lower than 350°C.

Production of middle distillates through olefin oligomerization using ZSM‐5 as a catalyst
Abstract The global transportation sector relies heavily on gasoline (C5–C12) and diesel (C11–C24), which together account for approximately 60% of its energy needs. Driven by rapid industrialization and urbanization, diesel consumption is outpacing gasoline, with projections estimating global demand by 2035 at 27 million barrels per day for gasoline ...

Effect of zeolite topology and reactor configuration on the direct conversion of CO2 to light olefins and aromatics [PDF]
The direct transformation of CO2 into high-value-added hydrocarbons (i.e., olefins and aromatics) has the potential to make a decisive impact in our society. However, despite the efforts of the scientific community, no direct synthetic route exists today

Impact Reactivation of a Hydrothermal System in Basalt in the Vargeão Dome Impact Structure, Brazil
Abstract As hydrous minerals have been observed in impact craters on Mars, impact‐generated hydrothermal systems (IGHSs) have been considered as potential habitats for life on that planet. The Vargeão Dome, a 12 km wide impact structure in southern Brazil, was formed in basalts with at least two hydrothermal alteration stages.

Cu–Pd/Zeolite as Efficient Thermo‐Catalyst to Oxidize Low‐Concentration Methane
Methane’s low concentration belies its warming impact and challenging catalytic abatement. We synthesise highly dispersed Cu–Pd on low‑cost mordenite (MOR) to oxidise 200 ppm CH4, achieving 90% conversion at 358 °C and stable operation for 100 h. Copper lowers Pd usage (0.10 wt% Pd) via synergistic dispersion and thermal stabilisation, surpassing Pd ...

Study of the Nature and Location of Silver in Ag-Exchanged Mordenite Catalysts. Characterization by Spectroscopic Techniques [PDF]
Catalysts based on Na-mordenite (symbolized as M) exchanged with 5, 10, and 15 wt % of Ag were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), extended X-ray absorption fine line structure (EXAFS), X-ray absorption near edge spectroscopy (XANES)
