Radiographic Morphologic Characteristics of Bunionette Deformity [PDF]

open access: yesFoot & Ankle International, 2015
Background: Bunionette deformity is characterized as head hypertrophy, lateral bowing, or splaying of the fifth metatarsal, or a combination of these deformities. Most previous studies have focused on the fourth and fifth metatarsals; few have analyzed the radiographic morphologic characteristics of the entire foot.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Statistical analysis of dwarf galaxies and their globular clusters in the Local Volume

open access: yes, 2012
Morphological classification of dwarf galaxies into early and late type, though can account for some of their origin and characteristics but does not help to study their formation mechanism.

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

DIFFERENCE IN THE NORDIC WALKING AND WALKING ON MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF WOMEN [PDF]

open access: yesSport Mont, 2013
Walking is one of the few physical activities that suit most people: do not burden the body as intensely as other activities, injuries are rare, and it is necessary to determine the conditions for its exercise.

Differential Morphological, Structural and Biological Characteristics of Cysts in Heterodera Species in Korea

open access: yesThe Plant Pathology Journal, 2020
Morphological (cyst shape, color, and sizes [length (L), maximum width (W), volume and “a” (L/W)]), structural (vulvar cone slope angle [VCSA], surface wrinkle [VCSW], cyst wall thickness, composition, and texture) and biological characteristics ...

Morphological Characteristics of Neonatal Adipose Tissue

open access: yesFolia Biologica, 2012
The aim of the present work was to study the morphological characteristics of neonatal adipose tissue using rats as an animal model. The results revealed that the subcutaneous adipose tissue of newborns consists of packets of unilocular adipose cells (one large lipid drop occupying the whole cell and pushing the cytoplasm and the nucleus to the cell ...
