Correlation of Fractional Limb Volume Measurements with Neonatal Morphometric Indices
Gynecologic and Obstetric Investigation, 2021Objectives: Fractional thigh volume (TVol) and fractional arm volume (AVol) measurements by three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound can reveal valuable information on fetal soft tissue development. However, it is not clear whether TVol or AVol provides better estimates of fetal body proportion and adiposity, independent ...

Morphometric Indices of Scots Pine Needle under Chronic Radiation Exposure
Contemporary Problems of Ecology, 2017We have studied the morphometric indices of needles in Scots pine populations that grow in Bryansk oblast in sites with radioactive contamination long after the Chernobyl accident. The variability in needle weight and length, as well as the fluctuating asymmetry indices and occurrence of necroses and morphoses, were studied in four contaminated and two

Morphometrical indices in acquired myopia
Acta Ophthalmologica, 2012AbstractPurpose On an etiology myopia can be congenital and acquired (school myopia), and on character of development – stable and progressing. According to experimental works (Ai L, Li J, Guan H, Wildsoet CF,2009, Nickla DL, Wildsoet CF, Troilo D., 2002) it is known, that the thickness of a retina varies at eyeball growth, and also at defocus change ...

Prognostic indicators in breast cancer‐morphometric methods
Histopathology, 1982Morphometric methods were applied to predict the clinical course of individual patients with breast cancer. Measurement of tumour diameter, assessment of mitotic and cellular indices, and quantitative microscopy of nuclear features were assessed together with nuclear features and histological grades. Of the tumours from 78 patients investigated, 42 had

Tectonic activity assessment using morphometric indices - Tokaj Mountain (Hungary)
2022
The Tokaj Mountain in North eastern Hungary is part of the andesitic and dacitic volcanic arc of the inner Carpathians. The mountain is surrounded by first order strike-slip faults from the W and SE side respectively called as the Hernád Fault and Bodorg Fault.

Neonatal morphometric indices of fetal growth: analysis of observer variability
Early Human Development, 1993Measurements of triceps and subscapular skinfold thickness, mid-arm circumference (MAC), head circumference (HC) and crown-heel length were performed by two observers in 30 healthy neonates. Intra-observer standard deviation for all measurements, calculated using one-way analysis of variance, was small and similar for each observer.
