Massive seafloor mounds depict potential for seafloor mineral deposits in the Great South Basin (GSB) offshore New Zealand

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
Seafloor mounds are enigmatic features along many continental margins and are often interpreted as gas hydrate pingoes, seep deposits, mud volcanoes, or hydrothermal mounds.

A Bottom‐Up Design Framework for Multifunctional Lattice Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a generative AI framework for designing multifunctional lattice metamaterials. The method combines 3D Gaussian voxel generation with deep learning, enabling greater design freedom and structural performance. The optimized lattice metamaterials achieve enhanced energy absorption by 40–200% compared to conventional structures and ...

Wearable Battery‐Free Electrotherapy of Smartsensors for Wound Healthcare

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Herein, we propose a simple strategy for integrating battery‐free electrotherapy wound dressings with wound sensors. Solid‐state supercapacitors constructed by PMAB with cross‐linked interpenetrating network provide energy for electrotherapy. Meanwhile, excellent mechanical sensing performance of wound dressing was used for wound assessment.

The Hebraic Monarchy as God’s Redemptive Response to Israel’s Unfaithfulness [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
The first portion of this paper will argue that the Old Testament portrays the monarchy neither as God’s chosen method of relating to his people, nor as an intrinsically evil institution, but as God’s redemptive response to Israel’s unfaithfulness.

NIPAL1 Drives a Metabolic‐Epigenetic Feedback Loop to Promote Lactate‐Mediated Immune Evasion in Esophageal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The study identifies a NIPAL1‐driven metabolic‐epigenetic circuit in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma that promotes glycolysis, lactate accumulation, and H3K18 histone lactylation, forming a self‐sustaining loop that suppresses CD8+ T cell immunity.

Global Nitrogen Deposition Promotes Carbon Sink Formation in Terrestrial Ecosystems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nitrogen deposition alleviates ecosystem N limitation and enhances carbon sinks. Using 829 observations, we show 36% of deposited N is retained globally (39.15 Tg N yr−1), with distinct NHx and NOy contributions. This retention drives a terrestrial C sink of 0.88 Pg C yr−1 (25.48%), highlighting the importance of pool‐specific C:N stoichiometry ...
