The β3‐subunit modulates the effect of venom peptides ProTx‐II and OD1 on NaV1.7 gating
Abstract The voltage‐gated sodium channel NaV1.7 is involved in various pain phenotypes and is physiologically regulated by the NaV‐β3‐subunit. Venom toxins ProTx‐II and OD1 modulate NaV1.7 channel function and may be useful as therapeutic agents and/or research tools.

The magic of MAGI‐1: A scaffolding protein with multi signalosomes and functional plasticity
Summary of published MAGI‐1 functions Abstract MAGI‐1 is a critical cellular scaffolding protein with over 110 different cellular and microbial protein interactors. Since the discovery of MAGI‐1 in 1997, MAGI‐1 has been implicated in diverse cellular functions such as polarity, cell–cell communication, neurological processes, kidney function, and a ...

ABSTRACT Osteoporosis is the most common bone disease, characterized by a low bone mineral density (BMD) and increased risk of fracture. At the other end of the BMD spectrum, some individuals present strong, fracture‐resistant, bones. Both osteoporosis and high BMD are heritable and their genetic architecture encompasses polygenic inheritance of common

Abstract Counter anion‐triggered metal ion detection has been rarely reported by fluorimetric method. To address this challenging issue, a fluorescent probe (H2L) has been synthesized from bromo‐salicylaldehyde and hydrazine hydrate, and structurally characterized by single crystal X‐ray diffraction.

Nonsuicidal Self-Injury in Bangladesh: A Narrative Review. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Nonsuicidal self‐injury (NSSI) has received global academic attention in recent decades. However, little is known about NSSI behavior in Bangladesh. We aimed to overview NSSI in Bangladesh based on available evidence. Methods PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar, Google, and BanglaJOL were searched to identify the research ...

Abstract Upon acquiring two unique plasmids (pMT1 and pPCP1) and genome rearrangement during the evolution from Yersinia pseudotuberculosis, the plague causative agent Y. pestis is closely related to Y. pseudotuberculosis genetically but became highly virulent. We developed a pentaplex real‐time PCR assay that not only detects both Yersinia species but

Abstract The serum or plasma microRNA (miRNA) molecules have been suggested as diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers, in various pathological conditions. However, these molecules are also found in different serum fractions, such as exosomes and Argonaute (Ago) protein complexes. Ago1 is the predominant Ago protein expressed in heart tissue.
