Multiomics Reveal Associations Between CpG Methylation, Histone Modifications and Transcription in a Species That has Lost DNMT3, the Colorado Potato Beetle

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Zoology Part B: Molecular and Developmental Evolution, EarlyView.
Despite lacking DNMT3, EM‐seq revealed CpG methylation in the Colorado potato beetle. CUT&Tag analysis showed an association of H3K36me3 and H3K27ac with transcription, with H3K36me3 mirroring CpG methylation, demonstrating epigenetic flexibility.

AN EXTRAORDINARY HABITATION FOR A MOTH [PDF]

open access: yesThe Canadian Entomologist, 1883
Among a number of cocoons of the family of Bombycidæ collected on Long Island this autumn, I have one of P. cecropia of light weight. As the examination of this cocoon revealed conditions unknown to me, I have thought it desirable to make a record for your invaluable journal.

Evolution of deceptive and true courtship songs in moths

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2013
Ultrasonic mating signals in moths are argued to have evolved via exploitation of the receivers' sensory bias towards bat echolocation calls. We have demonstrated that female moths of the Asian corn borer are unable to distinguish between the male ...

A hybrid approach for energy‐efficient routing in IoT using duty cycling and improved ant colony

open access: yesIET Communications, EarlyView., 2022
The proposed approach poses the empirical notion to manage the energy consumption of the IoT network by considering the key performance indicators (KPI) like energy consumption, average residual energy, mobility factor, distance, throughput, and network lifespan to accomplish the tangible outputs. The proposed approach is modelled using DFD's and ...

WEST AFRICAN MOTHS [PDF]

open access: yesThe Canadian Entomologist, 1899
In the Canadian Entomologist, XXVI., pp. 69, 70, Mr. Geo. A. Ehrmann described as new three West African moths. Very recently this gentleman has been so obliging as to forward his types to me for examination. I should like to put on record a few observations on them for the benefit of students of the African fauna.
