Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

The problem of restoration of images blurred by relative motion between the camera and the object scene is important in a large number of applications. The solution proposed here identifies important parameters with which to characterize the point spread function (PSF) of the blur, given only the blurred image itself.

Seeing blur: ‘motion sharpenin’ without motion [PDF]
It is widely supposed that things tend to look blurred when they are moving fast. Previous work has shown that this is true for sharp edges but, paradoxically, blurred edges look sharper when they are moving than when stationary. This is 'motion sharpening'. We show that blurred edges also look up to 50% sharper when they are presented briefly (8-24 ms)

Uniform Motion Blur in Poissonian Noise: Blur/Noise Tradeoff [PDF]
In this paper we consider the restoration of images corrupted by both uniform motion blur and Poissonian noise. We formulate an image formation model that explicitly takes into account the length of the blur point-spread function and the noise level as functions of the exposure time.
