Predicting Slice-to-Volume Transformation in Presence of Arbitrary Subject Motion
This paper aims to solve a fundamental problem in intensity-based 2D/3D registration, which concerns the limited capture range and need for very good initialization of state-of-the-art image registration methods.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Video-based methodology for markerless human motion analysis [PDF]
International audienceThis study presents a video-based experiment for the study of markerless human motion. Silhouettes are extracted from a multi-camera video system to reconstruct a 3D mesh for each frame using a reconstruction method based on visual ...

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Peroxidasin enables melanoma immune escape by inhibiting natural killer cell cytotoxicity
Peroxidasin (PXDN) is secreted by melanoma cells and binds the NK cell receptor NKG2D, thereby suppressing NK cell activation and cytotoxicity. PXDN depletion restores NKG2D signaling and enables effective NK cell–mediated melanoma killing. These findings identify PXDN as a previously unrecognized immune evasion factor and a potential target to improve

Zoom in to the details of human-centric videos
Presenting high-resolution (HR) human appearance is always critical for the human-centric videos. However, current imagery equipment can hardly capture HR details all the time.

3D Hand Pose Estimation with Neural Networks [PDF]
We propose the design of a real-time system to recognize and interprethand gestures. The acquisition devices are low cost 3D sensors. 3D hand pose will be segmented, characterized and track using growing neural gas (GNG) structure.

Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.
