Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

TRANSDUCERS FOR MOTION CONTROL

open access: yesIFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1992
Abstract In order to achieve the levels of functionality that are required in many current engineering systems, information on system status must be provided to the control processor to support the decision making process. In particular, in the majority of systems there will be a need to monitor, either directly or indirectly, a range of motions in ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Motion Control via Metric-Aligning Motion Matching

open access: yesProceedings of the Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques Conference Conference Papers
We introduce a novel method for controlling a motion sequence using an arbitrary temporal control sequence using temporal alignment. Temporal alignment of motion has gained significant attention owing to its applications in motion control and retargeting.

Rigid-body motion extracted from total motion of a flexible body [PDF]

open access: yes, 1967
Control system eliminates or reduces flexibility effects on the manual and automatic control of large flexible vehicles. It extracts rigid-body and flexible-body motion and adapts well when a flexible-body frequency coincides or nearly coincides with the

Revisiting Mission‐Oriented Cancer Research to tackle the increasing burden of cancer in Europe–a policy perspective

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Translational cancer research and its implementation through competitively selected Comprehensive Cancer Centers across Europe should be the primary policy focus for addressing the increasing cancer burden in Europe and counteract the present main strategy to convert cancer to a chronic disease.

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Stage Motion Control: Nonlinear Integrators Revisited

open access: yesAnnual Review of Control, Robotics, and Autonomous Systems
Linear integrators are well known for their ability to counter static forces and improve low-frequency disturbance rejection properties in control systems. However, linear integrators introduce phase lag, which is a frequency-dependent time shift or delay. Since the early introduction of the Clegg integrator, nonlinear integrators have held the promise
