On Sudden Cessation in Circular Motion [PDF]
This short paper presents a simple analytical model for the abrupt termination of circular motion, as discussed in the "The Most Mind-Blowing Aspect of Circular Motion".

On the origin of the gravitational quantization: The Titius--Bode Law
Action at distance in Newtonian physics is replaced by finite propagation speeds in classical post--Newtonian physics. As a result, the differential equations of motion in Newtonian physics are replaced by functional differential equations, where the ...

Analytical solution of the dynamical spherical MIT bag [PDF]
We prove that when the bag surface is allowed to move radially, the equations of motion derived from the MIT bag Lagrangian with massless quarks and a spherical boundary admit only one solution, which corresponds to a bag expanding at the speed of light.

Unified linear response theory of quantum electronic circuits
Modeling the electrical response of multi-level quantum systems at finite frequency has been typically performed in the context of two incomplete paradigms: (i) input-output theory, which is valid at any frequency but neglects dynamic losses, and (ii ...

Motion Artifact Reduction in Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping using Deep Neural Network [PDF]
An approach to reduce motion artifacts in Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping using deep learning is proposed. We use an affine motion model with randomly created motion profiles to simulate motion-corrupted QSM images. The simulated QSM image is paired with its motion-free reference to train a neural network using supervised learning.

Herminio: sculpture, physics and motion
This article looks to make a philosophical reading of a number of sculptures by Herminio Alvarez (b. 1945). After briefly presenting the topic, it discusses the differences between sculpture and artifacts. Focusing on these differences, it argues for a shared problematic held by some of Herminio's sculptures and certain philosophical ideas.

Interplay between one-particle and collective degrees of freedom in nuclei
Some developments of nuclear-structure physics uniquely related to Copenhagen School are sketched based on theoretical considerations versus experimental findings and one-particle versus collective aspects.
