ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

On Classical Motion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
The impetus theory of motion states that to be in motion is to have a non-zero velocity. The at-at theory of motion states that to be in motion is to be at different places at different times, which in classical physics is naturally understood as the ...

Various regimes of flux motion in Bi$_2$Sr$_2$CaCu$_2$O$_{8+\delta}$ single crystals

open access: yes, 2000
Four regimes of vortex motion were identified in the magnetoresistance of Bi$_2$Sr$_2$CaCu$_2$O$_{8+\delta}$ single crystals: (1) thermally activated flux flow (TAFF) in samples with surface defects caused by thermal annealing; (2) TAFF-like plastic ...

Time, the final frontier

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This article advocates integrating temporal dynamics into cancer research. Rather than relying on static snapshots, researchers should increasingly consider adopting dynamic methods—such as live imaging, temporal omics, and liquid biopsies—to track how tumors evolve over time.

Palm-Sized Single-Shot Full-Color Incoherent Digital Holographic Camera System with White Light

open access: yesAdvanced Devices & Instrumentation
The realization of full-color motion-picture holographic imaging with daily-use light is an important research objective. To achieve it, various types of single-shot phase-shifting incoherent digital holography (SSPS IDH) systems have been proposed up to

Detecting homologous recombination deficiency for breast cancer through integrative analysis of genomic data

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study develops a semi‐supervised classifier integrating multi‐genomic data (1404 training/5893 validation samples) to improve homologous recombination deficiency (HRD) detection in breast cancer. Our method demonstrates prognostic value and predicts chemotherapy/PARP inhibitor sensitivity in HRD+ tumours.

SCHNITZLER, KUBRICK, FREUD: LITERATURE, MOTION-PICTURE AND PSYCHOANALISYS

open access: yesGragoatá, 2004
This essay discusses the novel Traumnovelle (1826), by Arthur Schnitzler (1862-1931), and its cinematographic adaptation, Eyes wide shut (1999), by Stanley Kubrick (1928-1999), with the support of four texts by Sigmund Freud (1856- 1939): Interpretation ...
