Understanding the effects of teacher credibility on students' cognitive engagement in online learning: The mediating roles of academic self-efficacy and motivational regulation strategies

open access: yesActa Psychologica
Teacher credibility is one of the most critical drivers of students' engagement in online learning. However, discussions about how and to what extent teacher credibility affects students' engagement are lacking. Therefore, this study aimed to explore the

Crowdsourcing innovation and product development: Gamification as a motivational driver

open access: yesCogent Business & Management, 2016
Crowdsourcing—outsourcing a job to external contributors through an open call—has become an important part of innovation process and product development. However, many crowdsourcing initiatives fail due to low engagement and participation. In the current paper, we aim to explore how companies can employ gamification—game elements and design techniques ...

Phase Diagrams Enable Solid‐State Battery Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Batteries are non‐equilibrium devices with inherent thermodynamic driving forces to react at interfaces, regardless of kinetics or operating conditions. Chemical potential mismatches across interfaces are dissipated via interfacial reactions. In this work, it is illustrated how phase diagrams and chemical potential maps predict degradation pathways but

Electrohydrodynamically Driven Broadband and Color‐Shifting in Cholesteric Liquid Crystals

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Ion‐driven electrohydrodynamic effects enable dynamic photonic bandgap modulation in cholesteric liquid crystals under low‐frequency AC driving. By regulating ion‐mediated disturbance of the helical structure, this approach produces two reversible optical responses: rapid color shifting across the visible spectrum and broadband reflection spanning the ...
