The Anisotropic Adsorption of De Novo Allosteric Two‐Component Protein Fibers on Mica Surfaces
In this study, the interfacial behavior of de novo designed proteins that self‐assemble into tubular architectures with distinct morphologies — small (S), large (L), and helical (H) fibers — at the muscovite mica‐water interface is explored using in situ AFM. Abstract Protein adsorption at solid–liquid interfaces underlies many biomedical and materials

SI‐bioATRP in Mesoporous Silica for Size‐Exclusion Driven Local Polymer Placement
An enzyme‐catalyzed surface‐initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (SI‐bioATRP) of an anionic monomer within mesoporous silica particles, using hemoglobin as a catalyst, allows for controlling the location of the formed polymer via size‐exclusion effects between the nanopores and the biomacromolecules, thereby opening routes to functional ...

The General Motor Ability Hypothesis: An old idea revisited [PDF]
While specific motor abilities have become a popular explanation for motor performance, the older, alternate notion of a general motor ability should be revisited.

A modular biosynthetic PVA–gelatin hydrogel crosslinked via visible‐light thiol‐ene chemistry is engineered as a coating for neural electrodes. Optimizing matrix composition and mechanical properties enables the hydrogel to support astrocytic populations that guide neural differentiation and functional maturation.

Self-concept in learning disabled children : relationship to perceived competence, social support and task performance : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science at Massey University [PDF]
Examined how some children with learning disabilities (LD) sustain higher levels of general self-worth despite academic difficulties. Global self-worth was examined for a relationship with academic self-concept, non-academic self-concept, and perceived ...

Encoding Magnetic Anisotropies in Digital Light Processing 3D Printing
A hybrid magnetic device—combining a coaxial coil within a nested Halbach array—is presented, integrated into a DLP 3D printer to enable spatially resolved magnetic field control. This system enables complex, multimodal responses by programming liquid crystal elastomer resins for magnetic and thermal actuation, and by inducing electrically conductive ...

Pullulan, a biomass‐derived polysaccharide, is transformed into transparent optical fibers using a solvent‐free borax hydrogel‐spinning method. The fibers outperform PMMA with ≈200 MPa tensile strength and 200 °C stability, while uniquely guiding visible‐to‐NIR light and enabling additive‐free humidity sensing.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND MOTOR COMPETENCE IN CHILDHOOD
