Submaximal leaping in the grey mouse lemur

Zoology, 2011
In arboreal animals such as the grey mouse lemur (Microcebus murinus Miller, 1777), leaping is the most frequent strategy for predator avoidance. The aim of this study was to characterise the locomotor adaptation in response to the structural constraint of the habitat (i.e., position of the landing substrate).

Lesser mouse lemur

1992
Abstract The lesser mouse lemur is found throughout Madagascar except for the central plateau, and is relatively abundant and not threatened at present (Wolfheim 1983; Jolly 1986). It is found in a variety of forest and woodland habitats that contain relatively dense foliage (Wolfheim 1983; Martin 1972).
