ECOSTRESS‐derived semi‐arid forest temperature and evapotranspiration estimates demonstrate drought and thinning impacts

open access: yesRemote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that ECOSTRESS lands surface temperature (LST) data are sensitive to forest thinning, regional drought, and their interaction. Consistent with high‐resolution UAV images, ECOSTRESS LST data indicate thinned forest had significantly greater temperature across years.

Two-dimensional Finite Larmor Radius approximation in canonical gyrokinetic coordinates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
In this paper, we present some new results about the approximation of the Vlasov-Poisson system with a strong external magnetic field by the 2D finite Larmor radius model. The proofs within the present work are built by using two-scale convergence tools,

Modelling fish habitat preference with a genetic algorithm-optimized Takagi-Sugeno model based on pairwise comparisons [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Species-environment relationships are used for evaluating the current status of target species and the potential impact of natural or anthropogenic changes of their habitat. Recent researches reported that the results are strongly affected by the quality
