Moving Least Squares Method for a One-Dimensional Parabolic Inverse Problem
This paper investigates the numerical solution of a class of one-dimensional inverse parabolic problems using the moving least squares approximation; the inverse problem is the determination of an unknown source term depending on time.

Moving least squares approximation using variably scaled discontinuous weight function
Functions with discontinuities appear in many applications such as image reconstruction, signal processing, optimal control problems, interface problems, engineering applications and so on. Accurate approximation and interpolation of these functions are therefore of great importance.

A GALERKIN APPROXIMATION METHOD INCLUDING SPACE DIMENSIONAL REDUCTION - APPLIED FOR SOLUTION OF A HEAT CONDUCTION EQUATION [PDF]
A multivariate data fitting procedure, based on the Galerkin minimization method, is studied in this paper. The main idea of the developed approach consists in projecting the set of data points from the original, higherdimensional space, onto a line ...

A Hybrid Interpolating Meshless Method for 3D Advection–Diffusion Problems
A hybrid interpolating meshless (HIM) method is established for dealing with three-dimensional (3D) advection–diffusion equations. To improve computational efficiency, a 3D equation is changed into correlative two-dimensional (2D) equations. The improved

This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.
