MPLS-Kit: An MPLS Data Plane Toolkit
2022 IEEE 11th International Conference on Cloud Networking (CloudNet), 2022Networking research often requires a means to quickly generate different realistic networks for evaluating the practical relevance. This is especially the case for emerging fields related to the automated verification of network configurations (?what-if analysis?) or to AI-driven network operations (?selfdriving networks?).

Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) patients share driver mutations in JAK2, MPL or CALR genes leading to the activation of the thrombopoietin receptor (TPOR) and downstream signaling pathways. JAK2 mutation drives all the three major entities of MPN (Polycythemia Vera, Essential Thrombocythemia and Primary Myelofibrosis) through the constitutive ...

PTPlan MPLS: a tool for MPLS network dimensioning
MASCOTS 2001, Proceedings Ninth International Symposium on Modeling, Analysis and Simulation of Computer and Telecommunication Systems, 2002This paper presents a tool for MPLS network dimensioning that allows for multi-hour dimensioning of networks supporting simultaneously peer-to-peer and client-server services. The dimensioning model is able to take into account several LSP attributes: degree of survivability (link disjoint and node disjoint cases), maximum hop count, usable colours and

Explicit routing in MPLS is utilized in traffic engineering to maximize the operational network performance and to provide Quality of Service (QoS). However, difficulties arise while integrating native IP multicasting with MPLS traffic engineering, such as point-to-multipoint or multipoint-to-multipoint LSPs layout design and traffic aggregation.

This paper presents a novel idea for building a pure MPLS network from the initial stage (bootstrapping) without using any native IP packets to transfer control traffic. Therefore the MPLS network is a purely layer 2.5 label switched network based on layer 2 switching functionality without layer 3 IP routing.

MPLS (multiprotocol label switching) is a convergence of various implementations of IP switching using ATM-like "label swapping" to speed up packet forwarding without changes to existing IP routing protocols. An important practical issue is the capability to recover quickly from faults.

This paper presents a hardware architecture for multiprotocol label switching (MPLS). MPLS is a protocol used primarily to prioritize Internet traffic and improve bandwidth utilization. Furthermore it increases the performance of Internet applications and overall efficiency. However, most existing MPLS solutions are entirely software based.

MPLS ATCC: an active traffic and congestion control mechanism in MPLS
2001 International Conferences on Info-Tech and Info-Net. Proceedings (Cat. No.01EX479), 2002The paper proposes an active traffic and congestion control mechanism in MPLS (MPLS ATCC) and its model, which integrate the characters of the multiprotocol label switch (MPLS) and an active network. MPLS ATCC moves the endpoint congestion control algorithms into the network. The comparison with traditional TCP shows that MPLS ATCC can find and control
