On the consistency of MPS

open access: yes, 2013
The consistency of Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS) method in reproducing the gradient, divergence and Laplacian differential operators is discussed in the present paper.

Mass spectrometry and two-dimensional electrophoresis in prenatal diagnosis of mucopolysaccharidosis type VI

open access: yesEgyptian Journal of Medical Human Genetics, 2022
Background Mucopolysaccharidosis VI (MPS VI) or Maroteaux–Lamy syndrome is an autosomal recessive lysosomal storage disorder. Clinical manifestations are related to progressive accumulation of dermatan sulfate (DS).

Addendum to "On the consistency of MPS"

open access: yes, 2013
The analogies between the Moving Particle Semi-implicit method (MPS) and Incompressible Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics method (ISPH) are established in this note, as an extension of the MPS consistency analysis conducted in "Souto-Iglesias et al ...

Unifying time evolution and optimization with matrix product states [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We show that the time-dependent variational principle provides a unifying framework for time-evolution methods and optimisation methods in the context of matrix product states.

Mucopolysaccharidoses diagnosis in the era of enzyme replacement therapy in Egypt

open access: yesHeliyon, 2021
Background: Undegraded glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) induced by deficiency of enzymes are the primary cause of mucopolyscchardoses. Mucopolysacchardoses (MPS) are a group of rare lysosomal storage diseases (LSD).

Shaping Ti3C2 MXene Nanospheres for Precision Near‐Infrared Photothermal Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, we report producing spherical MXenes via fs laser fragmentation of Ti3C2 flakes in liquid medium. The nanoparticles demonstrated pronounced light absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiencies of 68% and 63% under heating with NIR‐I and NIR‐II lasers, respectively.

Numerical study of convective heat transfer behaviors using the MPSCV method [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances
This paper introduces the MPSCV method, a novel particle-grid hybrid numerical approach for simulating convective heat transfer. By combining the strengths of the finite volume method (FVM) and the moving-particle semi-implicit (MPS) method, this novel ...

Product Wave Function Renormalization Group: construction from the matrix product point of view

open access: yes, 2005
We present a construction of a matrix product state (MPS) that approximates the largest-eigenvalue eigenvector of a transfer matrix T, for the purpose of rapidly performing the infinite system density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) method applied to

Renormalization algorithm with graph enhancement [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We introduce a class of variational states to describe quantum many-body systems. This class generalizes matrix product states which underly the density-matrix renormalization group approach by combining them with weighted graph states.
