Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

Development of single and multi-coil MR damper subjected to cyclic loading for structural vibration control

open access: yesAdvances in Civil and Architectural Engineering
The magnetorheological (MR) damper can dissipate energy from a vibrating system with low power consumption, making it one of the most popular semi-active damping devices. This study compares single- and multi-coil dampers subjected to cyclic loading.

Prediction Model of Magnetorheological (MR) Fluid Damper Hysteresis Loop using Extreme Learning Machine Algorithm

open access: yesOpen Engineering, 2021
Magnetorheological (MR) fluid is among the smart materials that can change its default properties with the influence of a magnetic field. Typical application of an MR fluid based device involves an adjustable damper which is commercially known as an MR ...

Spring-damper equivalents of the fractional, poroelastic, and poroviscoelastic models for elastography

open access: yes, 2017
In MR elastography it is common to use an elastic model for the tissue's response in order to properly interpret the results. More complex models such as viscoelastic, fractional viscoelastic, poroelastic, or poroviscoelastic ones are also used.

Design and application of magneto-rheological fluid [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Magneto-Rheological Fluid (MRF) technology is an old “newcomers” coming to the market at high speed. Various industries including the automotive industry are full of potential MRF applications.

Substantially Altered Local and Systemic Immunity in Ischemia‐Free Versus Conventional Liver Transplantation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study investigates how ischemia‐free liver transplantation (IFLT) shapes both local and systemic immune responses compared with conventional liver transplantation (CLT). Our findings demonstrate that IFLT confers significant immunological protection by attenuating the STAT3‐HIF‐1α axis and enhancing the Heme‐HMOX1 pathway, two regulatory networks ...

Time-Response Functions of Mechanical Networks with Inerters and Causality

open access: yes, 2017
This paper derives the causal time-response functions of three-parameter mechanical networks that have been reported in the literature and involve the inerter-a two-node element in which the force-output is proportional to the relative acceleration of ...

Deciphering and Targeting the Schwannoma‐Neuron‐Macrophage Crosstalk for the Treatment of Schwannomatosis and Associated Pain

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We established patient‐derived SWN cell lines and orthotopic PDX models that recapitulate patient pain phenotypes, alongside a novel intravital DRG imaging platform to track macrophage infiltration and neuronal pain responses. Using these models, we define HMGB1–CCL2–IL‐6 signaling crosstalk driving pain and identify EGF signaling as a key regulator of

Ejecta‐Modulated Bubble Dynamics Play a Dominant Role in Stone Retropulsion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Stone motion during laser ablation is shown to result primarily from asymmetric cavitation bubble collapse, not from ejecta recoil. This challenges long‐standing assumptions and highlights the dominant role of bubble dynamics in laser–material interactions.

Design, Analysis, and Experimental Evaluation of a Double Coil Magnetorheological Fluid Damper

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2016
A magnetorheological (MR) damper is one of the most advanced devices used in a semiactive control system to mitigate unwanted vibration because the damping force can be controlled by changing the viscosity of the internal magnetorheological (MR) fluids ...
