Fluctuating β‐Sheet Secondary Structure in DS119 Explains the Small Effects of Backbone N‐Amination on Thermal Stability

open access: yesJournal of Peptide Science, Volume 32, Issue 5, May 2026.
Residues with backbone N‐amination have been introduced into a region of parallel β‐sheet secondary structure. Contrary to predictions, the N‐amination of Trp9 or Phe33 did not give an increase in the thermal stability of DS119. MD simulations suggest this is due to the highly fluctuating nature of the β‐sheet region. ABSTRACT The miniprotein DS119 has

Capsule Endoscopy in Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Current Status and Issues in Clinical Practice

open access: yesDEN Open, Volume 6, Issue 1, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Inflammatory bowel diseases include Crohn's disease (CD) and ulcerative colitis (UC), both of which require endoscopic evaluation of mucosal surfaces. Capsule endoscopy has been used in clinical practice since 2000 as a minimally invasive means of mucosal evaluation.

LMS-based MREs

open access: yes
These are LMS-based MRE formulations selected among the trials undertaken in T1.3 that display the following characteristics: ≥95% plating efficiency; ≥5% weight load, ≥70% split @B=2.0T/m.The LMS-based MRE formulations (SOLVIONIC, UNIGE, CNRS) are (Cu,In,Se)-based LMS candidates sharing anion (e.g. [Tf2N]-).

Motion Mitigation Techniques for Abdominal and Cardiac MR Imaging

open access: yesJournal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Volume 63, Issue 4, Page 917-937, April 2026.
ABSTRACT MRI of the heart and abdominal organs provides unparalleled soft tissue contrast and quantitative biomarkers, yet remains highly susceptible to physiological motion. Contractions of the myocardium, respiratory excursions, peristalsis, vascular pulsatility, and unpredictable bulk patient movement generate artifacts that impair image quality ...
