A novel Cherenkov radiation removal method for plastic scintillator detectors in a 0.35 T MR‐Linac
Abstract Purpose This study evaluates methods for removing Cherenkov radiation (CR) from plastic scintillation detectors (PSDs), focusing on constraints specific to a 0.35 T MR‐Linac system. Methods Five CR‐removal methods were examined: cross calibration, fiber alone, multiloop, collimator rotation, and couch rotation.

Impact of magnetic fields on small field dosimetry for parallel MR‐linacs
Abstract Background The use of MR‐guided radiation therapy (MRgRT) is increasing with the introduction of commercially‐available parallel MR‐linac systems. Treatment fields used by these machines can be very small and highly modulated. Literature on the small field dosimetry of parallel MR‐linacs and the impact of the magnetic field on dose ...

Impact of daily plan adaptation on accumulated doses in ultra-hypofractionated magnetic resonance-guided radiation therapy of prostate cancer [PDF]
Background and purpose: Ultra-hypofractionated online adaptive magnetic resonance-guided radiotherapy (MRgRT) is promising for prostate cancer. However, the impact of online adaptation on target coverage and organ-at-risk (OAR) sparing at the level of ...
