Pesticide regulatory homogeneity and firms' import decisions: Evidence from EU‐Swiss agri‐food trade

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Economics, EarlyView.
Abstract Country‐specific variations in food standards often reflect national regulatory traditions, but they also disrupt trade by increasing associated costs and limiting market access. Aligning such standards between countries should reduce or eliminate the additional market access costs and enhance trade.

A Critical Review and Investigation of Machine Room Less (MRL)Elevators

open access: yes, 2015
Machine room less (MRL) elevator drives offer advantages over conventional traction drives such as a higher energy efficiency, low weight, and more design freedom and better utilization of hoist-way space.

The efficacy of toltrazuril for prevention of oriental theileriosis (Theileria orientalis Ikeda genotype) in Friesian calves

open access: yesAustralian Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
The aim of this non‐blinded, randomised, controlled study was to determine the efficacy of toltrazuril for the prevention of oriental theileriosis in calves. Thirty calves were infected with Theileria orientalis Ikeda genotype through the application and retention of infected female bush ticks (Haemaphysalis longicornis). 15 Group 1 calves were treated

3D Interaction Geometric Pre-training for Molecular Relational Learning [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Molecular Relational Learning (MRL) is a rapidly growing field that focuses on understanding the interaction dynamics between molecules, which is crucial for applications ranging from catalyst engineering to drug discovery. Despite recent progress, earlier MRL approaches are limited to using only the 2D topological structure of molecules, as obtaining ...

The Lyapunov spectrum as the Newton-Raphson method for countable Markov interval maps [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We consider MRL maps (Markov-Renyi-L\"uroth), a class of interval maps with infinitely many branches that can have parabolic fixed points. We prove that for every MRL map $T$, the Lyapunov spectrum can be expressed in terms of the Legendre transform of the topological pressure of $-t\log|T'|$, generalizing previous results in the area.
