Adherence to Clotting Factor Prophylaxis in Adolescent and Adult Males With Haemophilia

open access: yesHaemophilia, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Clotting factor prophylaxis remains the most prescribed standard‐of‐care treatment for people with haemophilia (PwH). Prophylaxis prevents bleeds, joint damage, and improves quality of life (QoL). Its success depends on treatment adherence, consisting of socioeconomic, behavioural, and disease‐ or therapy‐related factors.

Demand uncertainty and lot sizing in manufacturing systems: the effects of forecasting errors and mis-specification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
This paper proposes a methodology for examining the effect of demand uncertainty and forecast error on lot sizing methods, unit costs and customer service levels in MRP type manufacturing systems.

Data‐driven cluster analysis of adults with prediabetes: Findings from the Japan diabetes prevention study

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
Unsupervised clustering of 295 Japanese adults with impaired glucose tolerance identified three distinct prediabetes subtypes based on HbA1c, HOMA‐β, HOMA‐IR, and HDL‐cholesterol. These subtypes showed different risks of developing type 2 diabetes and varied responses to lifestyle intervention over 6 years.

Defect inducing large spin orbital coupling enhances magnetic recovery dynamics in CrI3 monolayer

open access: yesnpj Computational Materials
The rapid magnetic recovery process (MRP) after photoexcitation is crucial for efficient information recording in magnets but is often impeded by insufficient spin flip channels.

Points vs. passes: A comparison between electric fishing techniques for sampling fish populations in upland headwater streams

open access: yesJournal of Fish Biology, EarlyView.
Abstract Point‐abundance sampling by electric fishing (PASE) was compared with single‐pass (DF1) and triple‐pass depletion sampling (DF3) electric fishing on the same reaches of four headwater streams sampled over multiple years in the Ribble catchment, UK. Juvenile salmonids, mostly brown trout Salmo trutta with some Atlantic salmon S.

The expected inflation risk premium in the U.S. stock market

open access: yesJournal of Financial Research, EarlyView.
Abstract This article studies how expected inflation risk affects asset prices. We propose an ex‐ante, tradable proxy for this risk, derived from the term spread of gold futures prices. Using cross‐sectional and time series asset pricing tests, we show how an increase in expected inflation risk lowers contemporaneous prices and raises equity returns ...

A Comparative Analysis of Maillard‐Derived α‐Dicarbonyl Compounds and Advanced Glycation End Products in Fresh, Wet, Kibble, and Freeze‐Dried Dog Foods

open access: yesJournal of Animal Physiology and Animal Nutrition, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Thermal processing of pet foods can lead to the formation of harmful Maillard reaction products (MRPs), which may compromise nutritional quality and pose health risks to companion animals. This study compared the levels of MRPs in 41 commercial dog foods, including fresh (n = 15), kibble (n = 13), wet (n = 10), freeze‐dried (n = 2), and cold ...

DOES THE MRP LOGIC WORK FOR FINITE CAPACITY PLANNING AND OPERATIONS SCHEDULING?

open access: yesSouth African Journal of Industrial Engineering, 2012
<p>ENGLISH ABSTRACT: During the past five years, MRP based systems have increasingly been criticized for their inability to reduce inventory levels, meet due dates and to plan at an operational level. This paper suggests that the actual reasons for

Phytoplankton growth and potential cyanotoxin production differ in response to nitrogen and phosphorus amendments in late summer communities from Kabetogama Lake (Minnesota, United States)

open access: yesJournal of Phycology, EarlyView.
Abstract Cyanotoxins such as microcystin (MC), cylindrospermopsin, and saxitoxin are secondary metabolites that are rich in nitrogen (N). Most cyanobacteria grow best on reduced inorganic N (ammonium, NH4), but when NH4 is absent, cyanobacteria can activate physiological pathways to process other N forms (e.g., nitrate; NO3).
