NeuroVisio SyncPatch: A Skin‐Conformal Multimodal EMG–Motion Sensing Platform for Quantitative Neuromuscular Rehabilitation and Performance Monitoring

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
NeuroVisio SyncPatch integrates skin‐conformal electromyography (EMG) electrodes with camera‐tracked markers to jointly assess muscle activity and three‐dimensional knee kinematics during rehabilitation. Parallel feedback pathways provide real‐time kinematic guidance during movement and post‐trial neuromuscular feedback.

Modeling the cost–benefit of nerve conduction studies in pre-employment screening for carpal tunnel syndrome

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Work, Environment & Health, 2010
OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to evaluate the costs associated with pre-employment nerve conduction testing as a screening tool for carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) in the workplace.

Correlated Charge Transport in an Organic Coulomb Glass

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Advances in the development of organic field‐effect transistors (OFETs), electrically gated organic semiconductors (EGOFETs), and organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) allow for the operation of these devices at very high charge‐carrier densities, where Coulomb interactions between carriers can be expected to become significant.

Effort–reward imbalance and one-year change in neck–shoulder and upper extremity pain among call center computer operators

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Work, Environment & Health, 2010
OBJECTIVE: The literature on psychosocial job factors and musculoskeletal pain is inconclusive in part due to insufficient control for confounding by biomechanical factors. The aim of this study was to investigate prospectively the independent effects of

Multi‐Li+ Coordination for Superior Room‐Temperature Ionic Conductivity in PEO Solid Electrolytes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A phosphonate‐functionalized polycarboxylate ether (P‐PCE) is introduced into PEO electrolytes to induce multi‐Li+ ions coordination, which effectively dissociates lithium salts, liberates Li+ from the strong chelation by PEO chains, and promotes fast Li+ hopping between adjacent coordination sites. Simultaneously, this design establishes dynamic, high‐

The effect of training for a participatory ergonomic intervention on physical exertion and musculoskeletal pain among childcare workers (the TOY project) – a wait-list cluster-randomized controlled trial

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Work, Environment & Health, 2020
OBJECTIVE: Many employees have high physical exertion at work and suffer from musculoskeletal pain (MSP) leading to sickness absence with large costs. Participatory ergonomics is a potentially effective intervention for reducing physical exertion, MSP ...

Increasing Lipid Nanoparticle mRNA Copy Number Improves Transfection Potency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
As lipid nanoparticle (LNP) systems are the leading platform for in vivo nucleic acid delivery, improving transfection potency of these systems is of considerable interest. In this work, we explored a post‐mixing formulation method involving a two‐step buffer exchange that increased the number of mRNA copies within each LNP while reducing the number of

Role of the work-unit environment in the development of new shoulder pain among hospital workers: a longitudinal analysis

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Work, Environment & Health, 2014
OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to test longitudinal associations linking the work-unit-level psychosocial and organizational work environment and biomechanical constraints to workers’ shoulder pain in the French multi-centre cohort ORSOSA study of ...

Efficient in‐Plane Exciton Transport in a Discontinuous Layered Lead‐Bromide Perovskite

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A new class of two‐dimensional lead‐bromide perovskite based on monovalent 4‐aminomethylbenzoic acid cations is presented, featuring a discontinuous inorganic layer. Despite the discontinuous lattice, transient photoluminescence microscopy demonstrates efficient though strongly anisotropic in‐plane exciton transport.

Validation of the ACGIH TLV for hand activity level in the OCTOPUS cohort: a two-year longitudinal study of carpal tunnel syndrome

open access: yesScandinavian Journal of Work, Environment & Health, 2013
OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to evaluate the risk of musculoskeletal disorders to the hand-wrist system. The American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) proposed threshold limit values (TLV©) based on hand activity level (HAL) and ...
