Clinical‐Grade Human Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell‐Derived Neural Precursor Cells Restore Motor Function and Preserve Striatal Integrity in a Quinolinic Acid‐Lesioned Rat Model of Huntington's Disease

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Clinical‐grade HLA‐homozygous iPSC‐derived neural precursor cells restore motor function, rebuild striatal circuitry and reduce neuroinflammation in QA‐lesioned rats. These findings demonstrate robust neuronal replacement and microenvironment modulation, supporting their potential as a regenerative therapy for Huntington's disease.

Block scheduling in practice: An optimal decomposition strategy for nonidentical operating rooms

open access: yesDecision Sciences, EarlyView.
Abstract We develop and implement a Master Surgery Schedule for a real‐life hospital, assigning operating room (OR) time to surgical specialties over a multi‐week horizon. Through action research, we identify a critical operational challenge: the issue of split blocks. Split blocks allow two specialties to share an OR on the same day—one in the morning,

Evaluating the Impact of Putative Metformin Targets on Cancer Outcomes: A Drug‐Target Mendelian Randomization Study

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aims Observational studies show metformin use associated with lower cancer risk, although experimental evidence is inconsistent. To provide genetic validation for repositioning of metformin in cancer prevention, we assessed genetically proxied effects of putative metformin targets on cancer outcomes using a drug‐target Mendelian randomization (
