Lambda-effect from forced turbulence simulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Aims: We determine the components of the $\Lambda$-effect tensor that quantifies the contributions to the turbulent momentum transport even for uniform rotation.

Deciphering depositional controls and evolution of a lacustrine supradetachment basin through facies analysis: Gördes Basin, Western Türkiye

open access: yesThe Depositional Record, EarlyView.
The lacustrine Gördes Supradetachment Basin was developed along the Simav detachment fault during postorogenic extension in the north of the Menderes Massif in western Anatolia. The basin‐fill succession is represented by alluvial fan, Gilbert‐type delta, shoal‐water delta, foreshore, shoreface, offshore‐transition and peat‐forming mire deposits.

Physicochemical and antibacterial properties of ZnO nanoparticles-modified mineral trioxide aggregate hydrated with antibiotic/chitosan solution

open access: yesBrazilian Dental Science
Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) modified with ZnO nanoparticles (ZnONP) and hydrated with chitosan solution denoted MTA-ZnO/Ch is a strategy to solve the MTA limitations as a pulp capping material in root canal therapy.

Metabolic changes during cardiac regeneration in the axolotl

open access: yesDevelopmental Dynamics, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The axolotl is a prominent model organism of heart regeneration due to its ability to anatomically and functionally repair the heart after an injury that mimics human myocardial infarction. In humans, such an injury leads to permanent scarring. Cardiac regeneration has been linked to metabolism and the oxygenation state, but so far,

Mineral trioxide aggregate affects cell viability and induces apoptosis of stem cells from human exfoliated deciduous teeth

open access: yesBMC Pharmacology and Toxicology, 2018
Background Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) is widely used for pulp-capping procedures in permanent teeth and as a gold standard material in endodontics.

Trends in marine species distribution models: a review of methodological advances and future challenges

open access: yesEcography, EarlyView.
Correlative species distribution models (SDMs) are quantitative tools in biogeography and macroecology. Building upon the ecological niche concept, they correlate environmental covariates to species presence to model habitat suitability and predict species distributions.

Railcars From Canada: A Misapplication of the Countervailing Duty Law [PDF]

open access: yes, 1983
This Note examines the countervailing duty law and how it was applied in Railcars. Part I discusses the MTA\u27s decision to award the subway car contract to Bombardier, Inc., a Canadian corporation.

CardiLect: A combined cross‐species lectin histochemistry protocol for the automated analysis of cardiac remodelling

open access: yesESC Heart Failure, Volume 12, Issue 2, Page 1398-1415, April 2025.
Abstract Background Cardiac remodelling, a crucial aspect of heart failure, is commonly investigated in preclinical models by quantifying cardiomyocyte cross‐sectional area (CSA) and microvascular density (MVD) via histological methods, such as immunohistochemistry.

Initial Cytotoxicity of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate (MTA) during Setting on Human Mesenchymal Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvances in Materials Science and Engineering, 2019
Bone-marrow-derived human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs) which are important cell source for hard tissue regeneration stay near periapical lesions of tooth, playing an essential role in periodontal regeneration.
