Sensitivity Analysis on Thermal Conductivity Characteristics of a Water‐Based Bionanofluid Flow Past a Wedge Surface

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, Volume 2018, Issue 1, 2018., 2018
Thermobioconvection boundary layer flow in a suspension of water‐based bionanofluid holding both nanoparticles and motile microorganisms past a wedge surface was studied. The governing nonlinear partial differential equations on reference of the Buongiorno model were transformed into a set of coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations.

Performance of Reinforced Embankment on Muar Clay Deposit

open access: yesSoils and Foundations, 1993
ABSTRACT The finite element method has been used to analyze two geogrid reinforced embankments on Muar clay deposit in Malaysia. One embankment is with a berm and the other is without a berm. In finite element modelling, two different soil/reinforcement interaction modes, i.e. direct shear and pullout have been considered.

A DNA Barcode‐Based Evaluation of the Southeast Asian Catfish Genus Hemibagrus Bleeker, 1862 (Teleostei: Siluriformes; Bagridae)

open access: yesAdvances in Evolutionary Biology, Volume 2015, Issue 1, 2015., 2015
Species of the genus Hemibagrus are large river catfishes found throughout South‐east Asia. The complexity of the region’s biogeographical history and the lack of well‐defined morphological characters render the taxonomy and phylogenetic reconstruction of Hemibagrus problematical. Early molecular studies of the H.

Cytotoxic Activities against Breast Cancer Cells of Local Justicia gendarussa Crude Extracts

open access: yesEvidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Volume 2014, Issue 1, 2014., 2014
Justicia gendarussa methanolic leaf extracts from five different locations in the Southern region of Peninsular Malaysia and two flavonoids, kaempferol and naringenin, were tested for cytotoxic activity. Kaempferol and naringenin were two flavonoids detected in leaf extracts using gas chromatography‐flame ionization detection (GC‐FID).
