Effectiveness of a Tiered Referral System and Early Nutritional Intervention to Prevent and Recover Stunting in Under-Five Indonesian Children. [PDF]

open access: yesFood Sci Nutr
Protein‐based supplementation at the community level (e.g., milk and/or egg) prevented weight faltering in 71.7% of children. Early diagnosis and timely treatment in primary healthcare services prevented stunting in 75.6% of cases. Among stunted children referred to regional hospitals, 43.6% recovered within 6 months with FSMP for catch‐up growth. This

Morphology of the gastric mill teeth in dotillid crabs (Crustacea: Brachyura: Dotillidae) from Indonesia

open access: yesJournal of Morphology, Volume 284, Issue 7, July 2023., 2023
Among deposit‐feeder crab, the morphology of the gastric mill teeth is well correlated with the substrate types. We provide descriptions of the morphology of the median and lateral teeth on gastric mills in eight species of dotillid crabs with phylogenetic analysis using COI and 16S rRNA genes.

Modelling past and future land‐use changes from mining, agriculture, industry and biodiversity in a rapidly developing Southeast Asian region 采矿、农业、工业和生物多样性保护影响下东南亚快速发展区域过去和未来土地利用变化模拟

open access: yesIntegrative Conservation, Volume 2, Issue 1, Page 43-61, March 2023., 2023
We apply an integrative perspective to modelling current and future land‐use change in Kuantan, Malaysia, a location with highly biodiverse forests, and also a hotspot of land‐use change. The region is representative of the types of development challenges faced by countries in Southeast Asia, which are also biodiversity hotspots.

Internet trade of a previously unknown wildlife product from a critically endangered marine fish

open access: yesConservation Science and Practice, Volume 5, Issue 3, March 2023., 2023
Abstract Online research methods are increasingly used in conservation science to monitor and collect data on online wildlife trade. Shark‐like rays (Rhinopristiformes) are among the most threatened vertebrates, prized for their high‐value fins while other uses for their derivatives are largely unrecognized in the literature.

Multi‐scale, multivariate community models improve designation of biodiversity hotspots in the Sunda Islands

open access: yesAnimal Conservation, Volume 25, Issue 5, Page 660-679, October 2022., 2022
A decade‐long camera trap survey carried out by WildCRU in Borneo and Sumatra led to identification of one of the first spatially‐explicit evaluations of biodiversity hotspots for meso and macro terrestrial vertebrates in the region, with important insights on the conservation status of its unique biodiversity.
