Development of a Cationic Mucic Acid Polymer-Based Nanoparticle siRNA Delivery System [PDF]
Cancer chemotherapy has advanced from highly toxic drugs to more targeted treatments in the last 70 years. Chapter 1 opens with an introduction to targeted therapy for cancer. The benefits of using a nanoparticle to deliver therapeutics are discussed. We move on to siRNA in particular, and why it would be advantageous as a therapy.

The orange peel waste is essentially an important residue in many countries, representing more a problem than one opportunity. Most of this residue processing is related to low added value products and it includes the generation of other residues.

Spectrophotometric determination of cobalt with mucic acid
Microchemical Journal, 1980Abstract A procedure for the spectrophotometric determination of cobalt with mucic acid is proposed. The absorption spectra, pH, amount of reagent, temperature, and time are studied. Beer's law is obeyed in the range 2.3 and 28.3 μg Co(III)/ml, the Ringbom optimal interval falls between about 9.5 and 25.0 μg Co(III)/ml. The molar absorptivity is 1.4 ×

A Novel Process to Produce Adipic Acid by Catalytic Dehydroxylation of Biomass-derived Mucic Acid
4th International Conference on Technologies & Business Models for Circular Economy: Conference Proceedings, 2022The heterogeneously catalyzed dehydroxylation of mucic acid to produce adipic acid, a highly relevant polymer precursor, was investigated. The use of methanol as solvent is particularly important since it not only acts as reducing agent but also protects the carboxylic acid functionality by esterification. Re/C was found a well-suited catalyst for this

Reaction of D,L-malic and mucic acids with triethyl phosphite
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR Division of Chemical Science, 1975Triethyl phosphite reacts with D, L-malic acid or its diethyl ester to give O,O-diethyl-1,2-di(ethoxycarbonyl)ethylphosphonate, and with mucic acid to give bis-(2-ethoxy-4-ethoxycarbonyl-1,3,2-dioxaphosphol5-yl).

[Production of mucic acid from pectin-derived D-galacturonic acid: a review].
Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2022Mucic acid is a hexaric acid that can be biosynthesized by oxidation of D-galacturonic acid, which is the main constituent of pectin. The structure and properties of mucic acid are similar to that of glucaric acid, and can be widely applied in the preparation of important platform compounds, polymers and macromolecular materials.
