Unveiling the complex extra‐oral colonization pathways and pathogenic mechanisms of Fusobacterium nucleatum, a heterogeneous oral pathogen

open access: yesVIEW, Volume 6, Issue 3, June 2025.
We summarize the taxonomic characteristics, capabilities to adhere to and invade host cells, extra‐oral ectopic colonization pathways, and major pathogenic mechanisms of Fusobacterium nucleatum, and explore the regulation of F. nucleatum’s pathogenesis, aiming to provide references and assistance for the development of clinical interventions and future

Optimization of Immunotherapy Strategies Based on Spatiotemporal Heterogeneity of Tumour‐Associated Tissue‐Resident Memory T Cells

open access: yesImmunology, Volume 175, Issue 2, Page 123-133, June 2025.
The tumour microenvironment (TME) and tumour evolution stage lead to temporal and spatial heterogeneity in tumour‐resident macrophages (TRMs), affecting their phenotype and function across different stages and tumour types. While TRMs infiltration is often linked to positive immunotherapy responses and prognosis, some subtypes may negatively impact ...

Proposal for a New Classification of Rare Cancers Adopting Updated Histological Tumor Types

open access: yesPathology International, Volume 75, Issue 6, Page 291-309, June 2025.
We propose a new rare cancer classification system using the updated International Classification of Diseases for Oncology 3.2 coding system and the World Health Organization Classification of Tumors 5th edition. This list could serve as a diagnostic classifier to reliably distinguish various rare cancers for clinical applications.
