DNA Origami‐Cyanine Nanocomplex for Precision Imaging of KRAS‐Mutant Pancreatic Cancer Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
DNA origami‐cyanine (Do‐Cy) nanocomplexes are synthesized to selectively image KRAS‐mutant pancreatic cancer cells in the highly desmoplastic tumors. This study shows that the Do‐Cy nanocomplexes are preferentially internalized by cancer cells over other stroma cells via KRAS‐dependent macropinocytosis.

The rare case of a cystic pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor

open access: yesAutopsy and Case Reports, 2021
The pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PanNETs) most commonly present as solid neoplasms; however, very rarely, they may present primarily as cystic neoplasms. Most of the cystic PanNETs are non-secreting tumors, and the radiological features are not well

Computational Intelligence Approach to Improve the Classification Accuracy of Brain Neoplasm in MRI Data [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
Automatic detection of brain neoplasm in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is gaining importance in many medical diagnostic applications. This report presents two improvements for brain neoplasm detection in MRI data: an advanced preprocessing technique is proposed to improve the area of interest in MRI data and a hybrid technique using Convolutional ...

Cystic Lesions of the Pancreas [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
With the increasing use of abdominal imaging, cystic lesions of the pancreas are being more frequently detected. These lesions may carry a significant premalignant potential.

Molecular analysis of pancreatic cystic neoplasm in routine clinical practice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
BACKGROUND Cystic pancreatic lesions consist of a wide variety of lesions that are becoming increasingly diagnosed with the growing use of imaging techniques. Of these, mucinous cysts are especially relevant due to their risk of malignancy.

Biliary Mucinous Cystic Neoplasm of the Liver with Ovarian Stroma and Elevated Serum and Cystic Fluid Cancer Antigen 19-9 Levels

open access: yesCureus, 2017
Biliary mucinous cystic neoplasms of the liver are rare cystic tumors comprising less than 5% of the liver cystic neoplasms. These tumors demonstrate a female predominance and entail a risk of malignant transformation.

Histone Deacetylase 6 (HDAC6) in Ciliopathies: Emerging Insights and Therapeutic Implications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HDAC6 regulates primary cilia, crucial for cellular signalling and environmental responses. Dysregulation of HDAC6 contributes to ciliopathies, affecting multiple organs. This review examines HDAC6's role in ciliogenesis, its interaction with signaling molecules, and its potential as a therapeutic target.

Mathematical models for order of mutation problem in myeloproliferative neoplasm: non-additivity and non-commutativity [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
In some patients of myeloproliferative neoplasm, two genetic mutations can be found: JAK2 V617F and TET2. When one mutation is present or not, the other mutation has different effects on regulating gene expressions. Besides, when both mutations are present, the order of occurrence might make a difference.

Metachronous Intraductal Papillary Neoplasm of the Bile Duct and Intraductal Papillary Mucinous Neoplasm of the Pancreas in a Patient Diagnosed With Mucinous Adenocarcinoma. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct (IPNB) is a rare biliary tumor, which shares some radiologic and histologic similarities with pancreatic intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN).

Mucinous Cystic Neoplasm of the Liver Masquerading as an Echinococcal Cyst: Radiologic-pathologic Differential of Complex Cystic Liver Lesions

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Imaging Science, 2016
Although simple liver cysts are common, complex cystic liver lesions are infrequent and represent a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. The differential diagnosis of complex cystic liver lesions can be grouped into neoplastic, infectious or ...
