Leishmaniasis of the Oral Mucous Membrane
ORL, 2010A case of Leishmaniasis of the oral cavity caused by Leishmania donovani is described. The lesion presented as a firm nut-sized swelling in the mucous membrane of the left cheek of a 31-year-old Sicilian man. The diagnosis required repeated biopsies and a wide range of laboratory tests including immunological tests.
